How Contingency Fees Work for You

How are you supposed to pay for a lawyer when you’ve been hurt and can’t work? You can’t. That’s why Lambert Zainey represents its clients on what’s called a “contingency” basis, which means you don’t pay a thing unless we actually recover money for you. Court costs, expert costs, depositions, investigation expenses, anything related to the litigation and even our attorney fees are only paid from what we recover for you. And if you don’t recover anything, you don’t owe us anything. It’s as simple as that.

What is a Contingency Fee Agreement?

Lambert Zainey represents personal injury victims on a contingency basis. This means we agree to front all expenses related to the litigation and that you don’t have to pay us up front for representing you. We front the costs normally associated with your case, which can include:

  • Filing a lawsuit;
  • Investigating the incident;
  • Deposing witnesses;
  • Hiring experts to show how the incident happened;
  • Obtaining medical records and testimony from your physicians; and,
  • All the additional costs associated with lawsuits (postage, copies, legal research, exhibits, travel expenses, etc.)

We offer representation on a contingency fees basis for cases we are confident will result in a favorable outcome for our clients. And how do you know we are confident in your case? We don’t take cases where we don’t believe we can be successful.

Whether we win your case at trial or settle it, our attorney fee is a percentage of the compensation awarded in the case. The more you get, the more we get, so our interests are aligned in maximizing your recovery.

What if the Case is Lost? How Are You Paid?

No recovery. No fee. No attorney can guarantee a successful outcome, but we can guarantee that the only amount you’ll ever owe us can only come from a recovery, not out of your pocket.
