Top Ten Most Cited OSHA Violations in 2013
The following is a list of the top 10 most common OSHA violations in 2013. The list was compiled following inspections of job sites by federal OSHA. According to OSHA, the purpose of this list is to “alert employers about these commonly cited standards so they can take steps to find and fix recognized hazards addressed in these and other standards before OSHA shows up.” If employers and employees are made aware of these statistics, injuries and fatalities can be prevented in the workplace.
Have you been injured due to an OSHA violation?
If you were hurt in the workplace because your employer violated or failed to comply with OSHA regulations, you may be eligible for workers’ compensation benefits. If OSHA investigated your job site and determined there were violations, that evidence may be used to strengthen your claim. In some cases, you may also have a personal injury claim against a responsible third party.
