The intermediate motorcycle safety course is for experienced riders who want additional training. This course is five hours long. Skills learned in this course include cornering, braking and evasive maneuvering techniques. This motorcycle safety course allows for participants to share experiences and share techniques they use for risk management. In order to qualify for this course, applicants must be properly licensed motorcyclists or graduates of the basic rider course. The cost of the intermediate course is $100 using a course provided motorcycle or $25 with a personal motorcycle.
The advanced motorcycle safety course is for the expert motorcycle rider. This is an eight hour course broken down into four hours of classroom learning and four hours of range training. This course emphasizes self-assessment, risk management, rider behavior, rider strategies, overall skill development, advanced braking, cornering and swerving procedures and techniques. To participate in this course, all motorcycles must be street legal including being registered, insured and inspected and the rider must be licensed. The course costs $25 and participants are required to bring their own motorcycle.
