Keurig is now recalling more than 7 million machines due to reports of burn injuries. Keurig manufactures single-serve coffee brewing machines that are very popular in the US. The machines use a single packet that makes one cup off coffee as opposed to the traditional full pot of coffee. Keurig machines are popular among people who live alone or do not like to have more than one cup of coffee.

The machine being recalled is the Keurig Mini Plus brewer. The recall is for machines made between 2009 and 2014. The machines reportedly sprays hot liquid from the brewer. Keurig has received approximately 200 reports of these incidents. Included in these reports are up to 90 burn related injuries from use of the product.

Keurig is offering a free repair kit to customers who own the brewers subject to the recall. Keurig says the repair kit will fix the defect. Keuring also warned customers who have not yet repaired their machine to stay at arms length from the brewer. They also warn not to brew more than two cups in quick succession.
