About the Super Lawyers Rising Stars List
The Super Lawyers Rising Stars list is an annual compilation of outstanding lawyers who are 40 years old or younger, or have been practicing for 10 years or less. To be eligible for inclusion in the Rising Stars list, a lawyer must be nominated by his or her colleagues and then pass a rigorous selection process that includes peer review and independent research. Only 2.5 percent of lawyers in each state are selected to the Rising Stars list.
Attorneys are evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The selection process includes a statewide survey of lawyers, independent evaluation by the attorney-led research staff, a written essay and a review of information submitted to Super Lawyers.
